Learning and Writing Appointments
University of Guelph students can use this online system to book an appointment with

a Learning Peer (for 1st & 2nd Year students)
- a
Writing Peer (for 1st year students)
- a
Writing Services staff consultant (for students 2nd year and above).

To book an appointment, follow these steps:
- You must register each semester to use our online booking software.
- Register & Log in to the system.
- Click on the drop-down menu at the top to choose the kind of consultant you would like to meet with (Learning Peer Helpers*, Writing Peer Helpers*, or Writing Professionals). Please note that appointments with Learning Services staff members are made via email at
.
*Peer helper appointments are offered only during Fall and Winter.
- Click on a white space to select your appointment time.
- From the "New Reservation" pop-up box, fill in the requested details and what you'd like to cover.
- Click the save button and you're done! You'll receive an e-mail confirmation shortly. Remember to make a note of the consultant's name.
- On the day of your appointment, meet your consultant in the Learning Commons Waiting Area (1st Floor, McLaughlin Library)
Please Note:
LC staff and peer helpers will not proofread or edit your work — we will review your writing or learning needs with you, provide feedback, and suggest helpful strategies to improve your work.
If your visit is about a course assignment, please bring the assignment description with you.
